To create a safe and effective corrective exercise and stretching program, you have to know where to begin. The Strong And Stable Spine Assessment is the most comprehensive evaluation available. The assessment includes information gathering in the following areas:

Specific goal identification: 50% of getting the results you are after involves knowing exactly what you want. Goal setting will keep you motivated throughout your program and keep you focused on getting the results you are after.

Lifestyle Assessment: The goal in my program is to eliminate all potential roadblocks and stresses that can slow down your progress or make your back pain worse. I will identify any work, sport, sleeping, or at home postures and movements that may aggravate your condition. Correction of these will decrease the likelihood of future injury and provide peace of mind.

Injury History: All past injuries can be contributing factors to your back pain or current muscle imbalances. Knowing what these injuries are can provide valuable information about how to correct imbalances faster and more efficiently.

Exercise History: Taking into account your past sport or exercise history, I will design a highly specific, individualized program that will challenge your body at just the right level to get the results that you desire.

Posture, Gait, And Movement: With every step you take, forces are being distributed throughout your back and body. Poor body alignment multiplies these forces. To eliminate excessive spinal pressure, decrease wear and tear on your body, and help prevent future injury, imbalances must be corrected.

Joint Range Of Motion: This integrated assessment will provide valuable information about muscles that may be too tight or weak. Muscle imbalances are thought to be the driving cause of back pain. Increasing your flexibility will allow normal movement in your joints and spine, allowing you unrestricted movement.

Joint Stability And Coordination: Assessments of your core stability and coordination of your muscular system will provide important feedback about the ability of your body to stabilize itself. Being just strong isn’t enough, your muscles must turn on at the right times and be coordinated enough to perform movement. This is the key to having a strong and stable spine!
