This One Imbalance Couldn't
Be Causing Your Back
Pain....Or Could It?
Over
the years in working with
literally hundreds of
clients with back pain, I
have found that the most
common finding in about 98%
of them is mis-alignment in
their pelvis!
What the heck
is a "pelvis"....

This is
your pelvis...Interesting
looking structure, isn't it?
The
position of your pelvis
DIRECTLY influences
the curve of your spine.
Misalignment of your pelvis
means increased pressure in
your spine and overuse of
supporting muscles, which
can definitely lead to pain!

In
order to eliminate your back
pain...and even more
importantly prevent it from
coming back again, you
MUST correct all
muscle imbalances around
your pelvis!
The
alignment of your pelvis not
only tells your lower back
how much curve to have, but
it also directs the
alignment of your hips,
knees, and ankles. The
pelvis is always involved
when dysfunction and pain
happens in these areas.
Here's a quick
experiment....
Stand up for
a moment....Don't just sit
there!....Stand up! I
promise this won't take
long...
OK, just
stand in your normal
posture. Take a moment and
notice where you feel the
weight on your feet...is
there more weight on the
your forefoot, or more
weight on your heels?
Now notice
if you carry more weight on
the left or right foot?
We're gonna
do a little trick here...
What I
want you to do is now
squeeze your butt muscles
together fully...go ahead,
no one's watching.
Now feel
how your weight changes on
your feet! Which direction
does it go?
I'll save
you the suspense! You just
performed a "posterior
pelvic tilt" by squeezing
your butt muscles. You
should now feel your weight
on your heels!
What this
means...
Your Pelvic
Position Has Massive
Influence Over Your Back And
Legs!
What if I
told you that in correcting
the muscle imbalances that
are mis-aligning your pelvis
and causing you lower back
pain, you could also get rid
of hip, knee, and foot/ankle
problems too?! A two for
one!!
Now that
you understand the VITAL
role of the pelvis on the
alignment of your body and
how this single imbalance
can be contributing HEAVILY
to your back pain, you are
probably asking this
following question....
How Do You
Correct Pelvic Imbalance?
There are 3
steps to correcting pelvic
imbalance:
-
It is
essential to identify
which position your
pelvis is in! This will
allow you to know which
muscles to stretch and
which to strengthen in
order to get your pelvis
back into alignment.
-
Perform the specific
exercises and stretches
in the correct ratio to
balance out the tension
in the involved
muscles.
-
Progress your exercises
toward more functional,
dynamic movements just
like real-life
activities. This is the
key to preventing future
episodes of back pain
and imbalances!
